Writing for me is a process of understanding what happened if I was able to interview dozens of business owners concurrently.

It’s a summing up. A review. A commentary.

What did they say about business during 2020 collectively? Who couldn’t be summed up? Where is the narrative leading? What would a reader learn that a listener couldn’t?

Writing is the process of listening to a recorded talk between two people (one me) and understanding more deeply, as if the whole mind can interpret without CPU cycles taken up for engaging with the guest. It’s also a reflection on question paths not taken or answers not followed up. What might have been said that wasn’t?

Seth you’ve influenced this process since 2017… in a new way. My practice is 250+ business interviews deep and it’s almost time to write about the most recent 100 by relistening to the A Kiwi Original podcast and summing up with a new commentary on New Zealand business for the age of the pandemic.

If you’re a reader of comments, read the literary review Seth linked to: https://link.medium.com/lhSjNYnnscb

It connects dots across books and his influencers drawn upon in The Practice.
