I was one of two with laptops in lecture halls in 1996. I had brilliant notes, that I sold to students at exam time. Other than that, they were copy book stuff. Real learning was derived from debate at tutorials, hostels and ‘the quad’ at lunchtime. Having been through the AltMBA deeply, and skimming the Marketing Seminar, they both delivered far more than the experience I had in 1996… and I never visited a lecture hall.
